27 December 2007 - 1:24 p.m. dear diary, our romantic night in the city was nice, though i came down with a cold and wasn't feeling on top of my seduction game. he did, however, LOVE my get-up. he was smiling ear-to-ear... the christmas weekend (+ monday and tuesday) was a big blur. lots of running around for parties and visiting friends...all of which really tested my strength and ability to not fall into "big baby with a cold" mode. i think i did ok. among other things, boyfriend gave me a $328 coach purse for christmas... the relationship continues to be tested by my dog, who seems to be having a difficult time adjusting to the new male member of our pack, and boyfriend, who seems to be having a difficult time adjusting to the fact that i consider my dog a member of the family. there is some tension and judgment and impatience. this weekend, boyfriend's seatbelt was the latest casualty of my anxiety-ridden dog. i was mortified to return to his car after leaving the dog alone for about an hour (in cool weather - i would never leave him in a hot car), only to find the passenger side seatbelt covered with dog drool and frayed beyond safe use. boyfriend was pissed. i don't blame him. we are in love. if anything will tear us apart, it will be my psycho dog. at the same time, my dog is my family. this is the time for compromise and patience. and, in dire situations, extra sexual favors. cali |
