11 August 2009 - 7:19 p.m. dear diary, the fiance left early this morning on a business trip to the mid-west. since last night i've felt very emotional about it, and even cried! the result of raging hormones of a pregnant woman? perhaps. i guess i am starting to realize that the more i have, the more i have to lose. it scares me... in other news, i finally scored the crib/changer combo i'd been waiting to come back in stock at walmart.com. i'm quite please about that. and finally, in more news, the fiance's sister is a wacko. apparently, telling her about our wedding details isn't enough. she was asking about the paper invitation yesterday. fiance explained to her that we weren't doing official invitations - that's not the type of fanfare we want and if we did, we'd have that kind of wedding. well, i guess that answer didn't please her. and it seems she's taken it upon herself to be our pseudo-wedding planner. she told fiance she's making the cake (we weren't planning on having a cake), and her son, a wannabe photographer, will take pictures (which is not going to happen, as my sister is a professional photographer and she already told me she doesn't want anyone else getting in the way of her taking pics, and quite honestly, i agree with her). needless to say, i am less-than-thrilled to be inheriting my soon-to-be sister-in-law. and honestly, if she really wants to contribute something to our wedding (which she claims she just wants to make special for us), she can pick up the tab for dinner, especially considering the majority of the dinner guests will be her family (her, her hubby, daughter, son and son's girlfriend) anyway. i am going to put fiance in charge of keeping the wacko in line. after all, it's his sister... cali |
